CaribbeanTales 2012 - 7th Annual Film Showcase Sept. 4 - 15

Toronto film showcase and Incubator

The creativity of Canadian and Caribbean Diaspora filmmakers will once again be the focus of the 7th Annual CaribbeanTales Film Showcase that will  take place at Harbourfront Centre, from Sept. 4 –15, 2012. 

The Caribbean diasporas most dynamic film production, distribution and festival group --- has bases and events in Toronto, Barbados and New York, and partnerships across the region and the globe --- recently announced the line-up for its 2012 Toronto showcase and hugely successful Incubator Program, as well as workshops and events targeted at family, youth and industry. 

At the media conference on Monday, July 23, CEO Frances-Anne Solomon also gave an overview of the company’s progress, and introduced the festival’s new steering group, and its main sponsors.  Among the highlights announced is CaribbeanTales-TV, a Netflix-style portal currently in development, due to be launched in 2013. The project is a partnership with European film 
platform ONLINEFILM.ORG.
